'Torture drama' created by PTI's Gill to deflect attention from the anti-state narrative Sanaullah Rana

On Sunday, Rana Sanaullah, minister of the interior, claimed that the PTI’s latest “drama,” in which they have repeatedly claimed that chairman Imran Khan’s chief of staff Shahbaz Gill was tortured, is nothing more than a “lie” intended to draw attention away from the party’s “anti-state” thesis.

Shahbaz Gill had everything prepared with the private television channel, from when they will call him to how long the conversation will last,” the interior minister stated during a press conference in Islamabad.

He was alluding to Gill’s August 8 televised interview in which he disparaged the military. He was detained on suspicion of sedition the next day.As the interior minister, I can attest that Gill was not tortured, Sanaullah stated.

The night before, during a demonstration, Khan lashed out strongly against the police and the judiciary. The interior minister condemned his comments, claiming that “Imran Niazi’s narrative is an anti-state agenda.”
