Sarooj Sajid of Pakistan wins gold medal in table tennis at Saudi Games 2022

In the Saudi Games 2022, a young Pakistani athlete brought honour to the country by taking home the gold medal in table tennis.The largest national sporting event in Saudi Arabia’s history is the Saudi Games.

It was held in Riyadh from October 27 to November 7, 2022, and more than 6000 athletes took part. The competitors participated in 45 individual and team competitions, including 5 events specifically designed for Paralympic sports.

Sarooj Sajid Hussain, a Saudi Arabian student, earned the gold medal by defeating the rival in the final round, according to a tweet from the Pakistani consulate in the country.

The Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia tweeted “Congratulations.” We are really pleased of Sarooj Sajid Hussain, a student at Pakistan International School in Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A gold medal in table tennis was won by Sarooj at the Saudi Games in 2022.
