Ex-CJ SHC: Imran Khan could receive a six-month prison term

Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, stated on Sunday that he was aware of some who were engaging in a cat and mouse game with the party but would not name them at this time. He also gave party members instructions to get ready for the next elections.

A gathering of Punjab Assembly Members (MPAs) was addressed by the PTI leader, who urged the MPAs to get ready for the general election, which might be called in as little as six to eight weeks. According to sources, Dr. Yasmin Rashid has been given by Imran Khan a two-week deadline to reorganize the party in the province.

Separately, on Sunday at the Chief Minister’s Office, former prime minister Imran Khan met with Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and former federal minister Moonis Elahi to discuss issues of mutual interest, the political environment, the administrative affairs of Punjab, and the state of law and order.

During the conference, strategies for helping the province’s residents were also discussed.
