PM Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan is working to patch things up with US

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif questioned his predecessor’s decision to sour relations with Washington and stated that Pakistan’s government is working to mend fences with Washington.PM Shehbaz made his remarks at the National Police Academy while speaking at the passing out parade for the 48th Specialized Training Programme of the Pakistani Police Service.

The prime minister acknowledged the role that law enforcement played in putting a stop to terrorism at the outset of his speech and promised that their sacrifices would not be in vain. He said, “The daughters of this country are progressing in every field and contributing significantly to Pakistan’s development.”

According to PM Shehbaz, Pakistan has boys and daughters who risk their lives to defend the country. He suggested that they receive training using contemporary technology.He cited the Punjab Science Agency and the Counter-Terrorism Department as two departments that should be imitated in other regions of the nation.

The prime minister expressed his gratitude for the contribution made by the women police force to the advancement of the country while also congratulating the cadets who won prizes in their respective fields of study.The prime minister declared that despite its limited resources, the government would give money to the Islamabad police to improve its professional capabilities.

Visit by the Crown Prince to Pakistan

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud will visit Pakistan, according to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz, to discuss a $12 billion proposal for a state-of-the-art deep conversion refinery and petrochemical complex.

He bemoaned the fact that this strategy was originally presented in 2019, but that no progress could be made.The PM added that the previous administration did not launch work on projects proposed by the Saudi Development Fund.
