Balochistan is experiencing a food crisis because of blocked roads and flash flooding

CHAMAN: A recent downpour has made things worse for the Baloch people, who now have less or no food due to flash floods that has blocked down trade between Karachi and Quetta. Flooding in the province’s northeastern and central regions could get worse, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

Rain fell heavily in a number of regions in the province, including Fort Munro, Dhana Sar, and Sherani. For several hours, rain has been falling in Harnai, Shahrig, and hilly suburban regions.

Harnai is now isolated from the rest of the nation due to the high-level flash flood.Rain is also falling in Dukki, Sanjavi, Mekhtar, and Loralai as a result of the weather system. The PDMA has received reports of landslide events in Rakhni and Fort Munro.

For the sixth day running, Fort Munro traffic between Balochistan and Punjab has been prohibited, according to the PDMA. According to the PDMA, efforts are being made to clear the road with the use of large machinery.

At Dhana Sar, interprovincial travel between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan has also been halted for the eighth day.
