After the "success" at COVID-19, North Korea lifts the mask requirement

SEOUL: Days after leader Kim Jong Un declared “success” over COVID-19, official media reported that North Korea had lifted a mask requirement and eased other viral restrictions.

Following Pyongyang’s earlier this week charge of Seoul for the COVID-19 outbreak in the North and vow to “wipe out” the South Korean government if necessary, the proclamation was made.

Restrictions on the spread of viruses were loosened since “the country’s public health crisis was entirely defused and its entire area was transformed into a clean one free from the malignant virus in the shortest period.”

All locations save frontline and border cities and counties were exempt from the requirement to wear a mask because the entire nation had been declared an epidemic-free zone.
