Around 8 am today, the two PTI leaders, Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid, Andaleeb Abbas, and Jamshed Cheema arrived at the ATC. In order to hear their bail requests in the case, the court had summoned a session. In total, 14 PTI leaders who had been arrested for allegedly resisting law enforcement and causing damage to state property asked the court for bail.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Asif Raza filed a first information report (FIR) at the Kohsar police station under the Pakistan Penal Code’s Sections 109 (abetment), 148 (rioting with a lethal weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly), 186 (obstructing public service), 188 (disobedience), 353, and 427 (causing damage). The same portions also saw the registration of numerous other FIRs.

Later, authorities amended the first information report (FIR) of a different case that was filed at the Bhatti Gate police station to include Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).In the police stations of Shafiqabad, Shahdara, Gulberg, and Bhati Gate, cases were filed against PTI leaders. In the report that was today handed to the court, the police withdrew the anti-terrorism clauses and declared the PTI leaders innocent.
