Through the health card programme, free medical care has now been provided to more than two million people in Punjab. Imran Sikandar Baloch, the Punjab Health Secretary, revealed information pertaining to the programme on Thursday, noting that residents of the province have received free medical services totaling more than Rs36.55 billion.
In order to provide free medical care in Punjab, the card has received the support of at least 808 public and private facilities.In Punjab, more than 432,000 patients have received free dialysis thanks to the Sehat Sahulat Card.
Additionally, more than 45,000 people have taken advantage of coronary angiography, more than 36,000 women have undergone normal childbirth, and 155,000 people have undergone caesarean operations.On the direction of Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, the numbers were provided by the specialised healthcare and medical education.
According to the provincial secretary, the government is making an effort to provide as many free treatment alternatives as feasible to the people of Punjab through the Sehat Sahulat Card Scheme.
