ISLAMABAD: According to the PM Office on Thursday, the project establishing ‘feeder lines‘ for the metro bus service to connect various parts of Islamabad was started at the prime minister’s request.
The feeder lines will bring commuters from different areas of Islamabad to major metro bus terminals, where they can change to other routes.By the first quarter of 2023, the feeder route network, which consists of 13 routes and 128 buses, will have been finished.
The central metro network would be connected to Islamabad’s sectors F, G, and I as well as D-12 by buses.According to the PM Office, “These feeder lines would offer roughly 100,000 passengers convenient and international level transport facilities.”
The PM Office stated that Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, had also instructed the relevant authorities to finish the project as soon as possible.
