ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the PTI chairman, has “self-righteousness,” according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, despite his “flawed conduct in power.”Shehbaz responded to Imran Khan’s comments made during a lecture on freedom of expression in Islamabad earlier in the day on Twitter late on Thursday.
Shehbaz commented on Imran Khan’s address in his tweet, analysing it and claiming that the PTI leader views himself as “sacred” and “beyond blame.”The PM claimed that Imran Khan plays mind games, twists the truth to make people look foolish, and uses deceptive tactics to demean people’s intelligence.
Imran Khan covered a variety of subjects in his speech, including the NAB, the establishment, and free expression. He criticised the government for rounding up online activists and making them claim they tweeted on his orders. He also criticised the government, calling it a serious crime, for torturing his assistant Shahbaz Gill. Maryam Nawaz, Ayaz Sadiq, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman had spoken out against the army, but nothing had happened to them, he claimed.
