Mehwish Hayat, an actress known for her role as Ms Marvel, has criticized a former Pakistani Army officer over his allegations that she and other actresses were used as “honey traps” by the military. Hayat referred to the accusations as “bullsh*t” and expressed frustration at people who believe them without questioning their validity. It is not clear what specific allegations Hayat is referring to or what her specific objections to them are.

A former Pakistani military officer named Major Adil Raja made some inflammatory accusations against Pakistani actresses Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan, and Mehwish Hayat, suggesting they had engaged in “honey-trapping” (using sexual or romantic appeal to manipulate) members of the Pakistani military. The actresses publicly responded to these allegations on social media. Mehwish Hayat has a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Ms Marvel” web series, and Sajal Aly appeared in the movie “Mom” with Sridevi.

According the sources , a former officer posted a video on YouTube in which he reportedly made allegations about four “top models and actresses” interacting with former officials and politicians. Actress Kubra Khan publicly criticized the video on Twitter, to which the former officer responded that he did not mention her specifically, but rather referred to “AK” rather than “KK.” Other actresses, including Sajal Ali and Mehwish Hayat, also spoke out against the former officer, with Sajal posting a tweet condemning the video as an example of the country’s moral decline and character assassination.

Mehwish Hayat, an actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, responded to the allegations on her Instagram, stating that some people will stoop to any level to gain cheap fame and that her name should not be dragged through the mud just because she is an actress. Kubra Khan also shared a post (which has since been deleted) stating that she initially remained silent because a fake video would not take over her life, but that enough is enough. She called on the former officer, Adil Raja, to provide proof of his allegations or apologize publicly. NDTV reported that Khan gave Raja three days to do so
