Lamichhane, the cricket captain for Nepal, denies the rape charge

Sandeep Lamichhane , the captain of Nepal’s cricket team, said he will return home to defend himself against the claims that he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl. The 22-year-old player in the Caribbean Premier League has a warrant for his arrest from a Nepali court, and he has been removed from his leadership role.

The juvenile girl and her legal representative complained against the player earlier this week, saying that he had sexually assaulted her in a hotel room in Kathmandu last month after they had met and gone out. Lamichhane declared on his social media platforms that he was “INNOCENT” and that he “keeps entire belief in the respectable laws of Nepal.”

I’ve made the decision to resign from CPL and return home in a short while.”I’m willing to defend myself against all of these unjustified charges, may justice be served to the innocent, and may the correct investigation be carried out against everyone involved.”I hope everyone is treated fairly by the law.”

In the Caribbean Premier League, which is located in the West Indies, Lamichhane is now playing for the Jamaica Tallawahs. Lamichhane is the representative of Nepal’s developing one-day international cricket league, which received recognition in 2018 but is still far from being able to participate in a World Cup.
