DUBAI: On Thursday, some Indian cricket players contacted Pakistan’s injured fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi to check on him.The Twenty20 Asia Cup 2022 is now taking place in Dubai with the top cricket teams from Asia in attendance.
Cricket players from various teams are randomly meeting up with one another. Prior to the competition, the athletes from Pakistan and India, two longtime rivals, meet.The UAE will host the commencement of the biggest cricket competition in Asia on August 27.
There are six teams in Dubai, including Pakistan and India, and they are all hard at work in their practise sessions.In the T20 squad for the competition, Shaheen Afridi is not present. He does, however, take part in the recovery tour.
Shaheen Afridi was taking a break from the training when the Indian team’s players arrived to greet him. He was visited by Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul, who inquired about his physical condition.
The Indian athletes sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery to him.The coaching staffs of both teams enjoyed getting together at the same time.
