Saqlain Mushtaq's 200-wicket record is broken by Mitchell Starc

On Saturday, Australian pacer Mitchell Starc broke Pakistan’s off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq’s 23-year record for fastest time to 200 ODI wickets by being the fastest bowler to do so.In his 102nd ODI in Townsville, Ryan Burl was removed by Starc when he spooned a catch to Cameron Green at mid-off, giving him 200 career wickets in two fewer games than the legendary Pakistani cricketer, who accomplished the record in 104 games.

The 32-year-most old’s recent achievement only strengthens the argument that he should be regarded as the greatest white-ball bowler Australia has ever had, as he accomplished the feat in fewer games than Brett Lee (who needed 112 ODIs to do it), Shane Warne (125), Mitchell Johnson (129), and Glenn McGrath (129). (133).

Starc achieved 100 ODI wickets the fastest ever (after 52 matches) in 2016, while  Rashid of Afghanistan miraculously accomplished the feat in eight fewer games in 2018.The left-arm quick has been locked in the 190s for more than a year. Such is his recent absence from ODI cricket.
