As part of its agreement to stream Major League Soccer (MLS) matches next year, Apple Inc (AAPL.O) is getting ready to extend its live television advertising network, according to a report on Friday, which cited people with knowledge of the situation.
Prior to the introduction in February of next year, the iPhone manufacturer is in discussions with advertising partners and MLS sponsors about displaying commercials during soccer matches and related shows. Apple opted not to respond.
Every game will be aired on the app for the next ten years according to a deal that MLS and Apple TV announced earlier this year. According to reports, the transaction had a value of $2.5 billion.
