Apple expanded their line of vintage products by eight more Macs

On Monday, Apple updated its list of antique products and added eight additional Macs that were produced in 2015 and 2016. Vintage status has been given to the original MacBook Pro model with the touch bar, which was released in October 2016 following a thorough redesign by Apple.

The Touch Bar is still an option on the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip, despite the company’s shift to high-end MacBook Pro models. Items that were added to the Vintage List included:

MacBook (12-inch, Early 2016)
iPod Touch (13-inch, Early 2015)
iPod Touch (13-inch, Early 2015)
iPod Touch (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt Ports)
iPod Touch (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt Ports)
iPod Touch (15-inch, 2016)
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2015)
iMac (27-inch, Retina 5K, Late 2015)
iPad Pro (9.7-inch, 2016)

Five years after a product’s release and sale, Apple adds it to the list. The Apple Store and Apple Authorized Service Providers do not accept antique products for repairs.
