Executive director of the Ananda Group, Dr. Tariqul Islam, stated: “We first exported a ship to Denmark in 2008, and now we have exported to the UK.”This vehicle is an ice class vessel that can go effortlessly through four feet of ice on the ocean, and it can transport any kind of risky cargo—aside from nuclear waste. This ship can operate alone in the engine room for up to 16 hours, he continued.

Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, state minister for shipping, who was present at the handover ceremony as the chief guest, said: “A contemporary multifunctional container ship has been successfully exported from Bangladesh to the UK today. For all of us, today is a proud day.”

The current administration, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, places a high value on the shipbuilding sector. As a result, it is now simple for Bangladeshi private enterprises to export ships.
