DUBAI: The director of Dubai International Airport said on Wednesday that the airport is preparing to make transit travel for World Cup supporters easier before the event begins in November.

On November 20, Qatar will host the first World Cup ever to be staged in a Middle Eastern nation. It will run through December 18.Gulf nations have agreed to simplify administrative procedures for travellers who are fans, especially those who go through the United Arab Emirates.

According to Paul Griffiths, director of Dubai Airports, “We are actually putting together some immigration procedures which actually should make that transfer between the two nations a lot smoother.
