93,300 cusecs of water are released by IRSA

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), with an input of 62,500 cusecs, discharged 93,300 cusecs of water from various rim stations.

IRSA data showed that the River Indus at Tarbela Dam had a water level of 1518.01 feet, 120.01 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet. The dam’s water input and outflow were measured at 26,600 cusecs and 48,000 cusecs, respectively.

At Mangla Dam, the River Jhelum’s water level was 1145.05 feet, 95.05 feet above its dead level of 1,050 feet. 13,600 cusecs of water were brought in and 23,000 cusecs were expelled, respectively.

A total of 57,500, 49,100, 30,600, and 13,100 cusecs of water were released at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur, respectively. Similar to this, water was released from the River Kabul totaling 13,300 cusecs at Nowshera and 2,900 cusecs from the River Chenab at Marala.
