YouTube Shorts, a rival to TikTok, recently declared its desire to include YouTube Music and saved music into the Shorts app. The Shorts app allows users to save songs for later listening. By tapping the sound symbol in the bottom right corner, visitors can access this integration and be taken to a page where the song has been utilized in other Shorts.
Users can get the song on YouTube Music in the “Sounds from Shorts” collection by clicking the Save button on the website. Songs from the same playlist can be downloaded from YouTube Music and used in YouTube Shorts videos.
In comparison to TikTok, which forbids this connection, YouTube has a huge library of videos and streaming service. The business has been keeping an eye out for a streaming service to perhaps partner with in the future.
For a service dubbed “TikTok Music,” the parent business submitted a trademark application to the US Patent and Trademark Office in May. Users of the mobile app might be able to buy, play, share, and download music.
A report detailing 175 songs that had been popular on the platform and subsequently charted on the Billboard Top 100 Chart was published by TikTok last year.
