KARACHI: The present monsoon system may bring heavy rains to the city on August 13 and 14.Monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal are infiltrating the central and lower sections of the country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
A westerly wind is also present in the upper and western sections of the country, according to the report.According to the PMD, rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecast in most regions of Sindh and Balochistan, as well as in isolated areas of Kashmir, south Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Heavy rain is also expected in Sindh and Balochistan on Friday.The Met Office further stated that rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in most regions of Sindh, Balochistan, and in isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday. During this time, heavy rains are also expected in Sindh and Balochistan.
