The most recent NIH statistics show that 592 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the nation in the past day following 21,264 diagnostic tests, with a positivity rate of 2.78 percent nationwide.

In contrast to the previous day’s record of zero deaths, seven more deaths were reported during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 30,452, according to NIH data.

There has been a modest increase in the number of COVID-19 patients admitted to intensive care units over the past 24 hours, according to reports (ICU). According to the NIH, 174 people are still receiving care in hospitals around the US.
