The captain of the national cricket team Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi have described the Ramadan sports series as a good initiative of the Punjab government and Wahab Riaz for the players. Talking about the Ramadan sports series, Babar Azam said that hockey, cricket , other sports including football are being promoted. Babar Azam said that these sports have not been given attention for a long time, with such events our sports will regain their place. He said that there is a lot of talent in Pakistan which Such events are necessary to improve, this is the best opportunity for young players. Babar Azam further said that the game will improve by playing with senior players. On the other hand, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi said that the credit of the series goes to the Punjab government and Wahab goes to Riyadh. Shaheen Afridi said that the event includes other sports besides hockey, from such an event our youth will join sports. He said that hockey is our national sport, it should come forward, the players should get money. The fast bowler further said that hopefully this will take our hockey forward and get good players.
