On social media, an  agency in Japan that encouraged youth to consume more alcohol to increase alcohol income is under criticism.In July, a competition for young people to submit ideas for “revitalising” the nation’s liquor business.

Twitter users were aware of the agency’s move after it was reported on the national and international media.Japanese brewers have been having trouble for a while because of declining alcohol sales brought on by an ageing population and an increase in health concern.

The COVID-19 epidemic was a particular problem for the alcohol sector. As a result, manufacturers began to advertise more low-alcohol goods.Some people criticised the campaign as being “crazy,” but others thought it was excellent that young people were avoiding alcohol.

Other people drew attention to the fact that Sake Viva went against the health ministry’s recommendation for “moderate drinking.”
