Wasim Akram, a former captain of Pakistan, has blasted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for posting footage of team meetings on its official social media account, contending that these conversations shouldn’t be made public.

The illustrious pacer said that the all-format captain ought to have prevented the “kid” from recording internal conversations because what happens in a locker room should be kept private.Wasim remarked, “Look, if I were in Babar Azam’s shoes, I would stop the guy from shooting films because there are occasions when some very personal things are said and done that might be embarrassing if leaked out.” Wasim was speaking on a sports programme.

The Pakistan Cricket Board recently uploaded Matthew Hayden’s video after Pakistan advanced to the semifinals as well as Babar Azam’s remarks in the dressing room following Pakistan’s defeat to India in their opening encounter.

The left-arm pacer continued by saying that while it is wonderful to see supporters engaging with their favourite players via social media, sharing these kinds of videos is not a good method to gain more followers on social media.

“Every day, recordings are being made. Wasim Akram went on to say, “Imagine that I was speaking to my squad while sitting down, and that the speech was being recorded. I would only suggest that he take a deep breath and practise capturing such things.
