“Shamshera will eventually find its tribe, but in the meantime, I stand firmly behind the movie, the memories we made together our friendship, and the giggles we had. the difficulties we faced I’d want to thank the whole cast and crew of the movie who stuck with it for four years. Through the pandemic and my own difficult personal experiences.
The actor continued, “With this movie, Ranbir and I have developed a lifelong friendship. His skill and capacity to convey emotion on screen are unsurpassed. It hurts to see how eager certain people were to criticize the work of one of the most gifted and dedicated performers of our day.
The dedication we have to art surpasses the animosity directed at us. It goes beyond anything that is being offered because of the love we have for the movie and its characters. #ShamsheralsOurs: Baaki kuch toh log kahenge, logon kaam hai kehna.”
Shamshera, starring Ranbir Kapoor, debuted to negative reviews from both reviewers and audiences. Despite having a total budget of INR 150 crore, the movie only grossed INR 60 crore in box office receipts.
