Nawaz requests that PM Shehbaz quickly file lawsuit against Imran

ISLAMABAD: Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday to take immediate legal action against PTI Chairman Imran Khan over remarks made against the Pakistan Army.

According to people familiar with the situation, PM Shehbaz and Nawaz Sharif spoke over the phone about the divisive remarks made by the former prime minister Imran Khan.In response to the Inter Services Public Relations statement, Nawaz Sharif claimed that PTI Chief is inciting hatred against government institutions and urged the premier to take all appropriate legal action (ISPR).

Imran Khan is a security risk, according to PM Shehbaz, and we have taken action against him. He stated that a significant gathering has been called to discuss the issue in Lahore.Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has stated that the chairman of PTI’s irrational and reckless accusations made against the organisation and in particular a senior army general are wholly unacceptable and uncalled for.

In a statement, ISPR claimed that the Pakistan Army takes great pride in being a highly professional and disciplined organisation with a strong and highly effective internal accountability system that is applicable to all personnel for any illegal acts that are, if any, committed by uniformed personnel.

However, it continued, “the institution would jealously preserve its officers and troops no matter what if the honour, safety, and prestige of its rank and file are being tarnished by vested interests through spurious claims.”The statement said, “The profoundly sad and vehemently rejected baseless claims levelled against the institution/officials today.” Nobody will be able to criticise the group or its warriors without facing repercussions.
