ISLAMABAD: Shiffa Yousafzai’s home in the federal capital was forcedly entered by armed men on Wednesday, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took serious notice of the incident.

Yesterday, Ali Haider Zaidi, a former minister and the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), tweeted about the news, stating that Shiffa Yousafzai had “just called to inform that two armed guys broke into her house, beat up her maids, questioned about the family, searched the property, and left.”

Zaidi had expressed extreme concern at the occurrence, stating that “it is a really alarming situation.” No matter how hard the imported government tries, it cannot quiet the truth, according to Asad Qaiser, a different PTI lawmaker who also strongly criticised the act.

A female journalist, television host, and prominent critic of the [Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz] PML-N and [Pakistan Democratic Movement] PDM government who lives with her parents in the heart of Islamabad, close to PM House, being intimidated in this manner signifies that we are living in the “Age of Fascism,” according to journalist Moeed Pirzada.

The journalist was subjected to “harassment, insult, and character assassination” by PML-N employees, according to PFUJ president.

As stated in a statement from the capital police (ICT), police officers were on the site yesterday and gave the journalist “adequate security.”
