Intelligent Signals Developed by NUST Student to Prevent Traffic Jams

The possibility of traffic congestion has been removed by a student at NUST who has created an automated traffic light system that will run simply on traffic observation.According to the information given, a cutting-edge system and an app would be used to control the lights, preventing traffic gridlock on any road.

The signals will blink in response to traffic circumstances rather than staying green or red for the predetermined amount of time.The signals will also favour security and emergency vehicles. It is capable of identifying an ambulance, a fire truck, or any other special vehicle and giving them priority access to the road.

The Capital Development Authority’s Chairman, Captain (Retired) Muhammad Usman, has also expressed interest in the new signal technology and invited the student to a meeting.The traffic division of the Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has begun a crackdown against unauthorised parking in the Blue Area.
