India’s monsoon season, which lasts for four months, is expected to commence its withdrawal phase in the following two days, according to the government-run weather service, which made the announcement on Monday.
According to the government-run India Meteorological Department, the weather is starting to cooperate for the monsoon to leave several areas of the northwest.
By mid-September, the monsoon, which is crucial for India since over half of its farmland lacks irrigation, normally begins to recede from the western desert state of Rajasthan. The southern Kerala coast of India first experiences summer rains in June.
