In an operation in North Waziristan, two terrorists were killed: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday that security forces killed two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan. The military’s media arm claimed in the statement that the operation took place in the district’s Mir Ali neighbourhood during a frenzied firefight between troops and militants.

Commander Khabaib alias Bilal of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, who participated in the suicide attack on the security forces convoy in Mir Ali earlier this month, was one of the terrorists who were murdered.Security forces discovered firearms and ammo after the terrorists were killed by gunfire.

According to the ISPR, “the slain terrorists continued to actively participate in terrorist activities against security personnel, IED preparation, and slaughter of innocent residents.”On August 9, a suicide bomber who detonated himself next to a military vehicle in the Mir Ali region claimed the lives of four troops.

The martyred troops were Lance Naik Shah Zaib, Lance Naik Sajjad, Sepoy Umair, and Sepoy Khurram.According to the ISPR, “the Pakistan Army is resolved to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country,” adding that the heroic troops’ sacrifices would not be in vain.
