Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has disassociated himself from Shahbaz Gill’s contentious comments, which were purportedly intended to create animosity within the military.On August 12, he said that Shahbaz Gill’s remark contained an offensive sentence when speaking to a private news channel.

He spoke to journalists and celebrities in the entertainment industry, often emphasising, “He shouldn’t have said that.”According to a police in Islamabad, Gill was detained for inciting the populace against government institutions on August 9.

On August 10, a court in Islamabad authorised the PTI leader’s two-day physical detention by the police of the federal capital.The 14-day remand was requested by the Islamabad police. Prior to his court appearance, Gill told the reporters that he was “not ashamed” of his remarks.

According to sources, Shahbaz Gill apparently confessed while being questioned. He reportedly told the police, “I don’t think I gave the statement in deviance from the party’s policy,” according to a police statement. “I made the declaration after some thought.”
