Dadu district residents are being urged to relocate to safe areas

DADU: After the flash flood situation deteriorated in the Dadu district localities of Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, and Juhi, residents were told to leave for safe havens.Due to the worsening flood situation, Murtaza Shah, the Deputy Commissioner of Dadu, advised the inhabitants of the district  to leave and find safer locations.

The Deputy Commissioner has also requested that everyone living in Kachho and the catchment regions leave the area right now.Following torrential rains and flash floods, the district administration has declared an emergency throughout the district, according to DC Murtaza Shah. He continued by saying that all the relevant officials and employees are equipped to handle any emergency.

At least 50 villages in Dadu’s riverine area were inundated in the middle of August during the most recent monsoonal period as a result of the Indus River’s water level surging and rising floodwater level.

In the districts of Jamshoro, Dadu, Nawabshah, Nausharo Feroze, and Matiari, cotton and vegetable crops that were standing were flooded by the flash flood. Farmers in the riverine area suffered losses up to millions of rupees as a result.
