RAWALPINDI: During an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general Mir Ali region of North Waziristan, security forces shot and killed a terrorist implicated in the killing of a JUI-F leader.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), when the security forces conducted the operation, a fierce exchange of fire occurred between the army and militants.As a result, not only was the terrorist slain, but weapons and ammo were retrieved from him.
The ISPR went on to say that the terrorist was still actively engaging in terrorist actions against security personnel as well as the death of innocent persons.Sami and Hafiz Nauman of the JUI-F were shot in July after gunmen on motorcycles ambushed their car in the Eidak district of the Mir Ali tehsil. Sami worked as an administrator at a religious seminary in the area and was a JUI-F local leader.
