LAHORE: For her outstanding performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has been voted the Performance of the Year by the British publication.
Sharing the exciting news with her followers, Alia Bhatt posted a screenshot of the review along with a link to it on her Instagram story. She added the words “Thank you” and a white heart emoji to her message.
The “Student Of The Year” actor and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali worked together for the first time on “Gangubai Kathiawadi.” The movie was a huge success at the box office thanks to the fantastic reception it received from audiences everywhere.
The movie is based on the real-life experiences of a mafia queen who fought for the rights of sex workers in the red light district. Vijay Raaz, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Ajay Devgn all had significant roles in Bhansali’s movie.
In terms of her professional life, she will star alongside Ranveer Singh in the Karan Johar-directed movie “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.”
