The corruption case against Farah Khan, a close friend of Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, was dismissed by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) of Punjab. Farah was charged with creating a company in her and her mother’s names and fraudulently allotting 10 acres of land in Faisalabad.
According to sources, ACE Punjab relocated the case from Faisalabad to Lahore after dismissing the case. Following the declaration of Farah’s innocence in the investigation by former director-general of ACE Rai Manzoor Nasir, the additional chief secretary of the home department gave the decision to drop the case.
Farah was charged with purchasing a 10-acre land in the Faisalabad Special Economic Zone for for Rs83 million when its true value was Rs600 million.In order to purchase the plot, the firm making the purchase had to be worth Rs 2 billion.
