According to weather experts, Karachi is likely to experience yet another bout of intense monsoon rains from August 11–14. The city may get some light rain this afternoon (Wednesday), according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz, while substantial rain is predicted after 5 o’clock.
The weather in Karachi, according to Sarfaraz, would continue to be humid during the day and get more precipitous at night. The PMD has noted in its weather forecast from August 8 that from August 11 to August 13, heavy rainfall could cause urban flooding in Karachi.
Additionally, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, Dadu, jamshoro, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazir Abad, and Mirpur Khas received forecasts. Up until early Wednesday afternoon, the city of Karachi reported mild rain in some regions, with the risk of severe rain in other locations.
