According to the most recent rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Indian all-rounder Suryakumar Yadav has replaced Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan as the best hitter in Twenty20 international cricket.He overthrew Rizwan to take the kingdom with his outstanding performance and back-to-back fifties in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup matches against South Africa and the Netherlands.
The 32-year-old star has scored one outstanding century and eight excellent half-centuries in the T20Is this year.Now, Rizwan is in second place, followed by Aiden Markam from South Africa, Devon Conway from New Zealand, and Babar Azam from Pakistan.Glenn Phillips of New Zealand and Rilee Rossouw of South Africa have both climbed inside the top 10.
Rossouw, who made an outstanding century against Bangladesh in Sydney, has climbed 17 spots to seventh place overall in the rankings.Phillips, who scored 104 against Sri Lanka, moves up five spots to sixth place on the most recent list of batters.
Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka, an all-around bowler, is in contention to surpass fellow spinner Rashid Khan for the top spot on the list of T20I bowlers.Hasaranga, who has taken 13 wickets this year’s T20 World Cup, is now ranked second overall after moving up four ranks.With a total of 700 rating points, Rashid continues to be at the top of the list, but Hasaranga (697), Tabraiz Shamsi (694), and Josh Hazlewood (692) are not far behind.
Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of Bangladesh, remains at the top of the most recent rankings for T20I all-rounders, although Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi is only 11 rating points behind him in second place.
