On Saturday, an Indian man was arrested for hanging Pakistan’s flag on his rooftop. Salman Ahmed, 21, raised the flag on his house in Bedupura village, Kushinagar’s Taryan Sujan police station area.
According to the police, Ahmed was taken to a local court and sentenced to judicial custody.According to authorities, Ahmed stated that the flag was placed atop his house “accidentally” and that there was no “particular motive” behind the conduct.
An FIR has been filed against the 21-year-old and his aunt on allegations of sedition and incitement of hatred between two communities.
