Australia’s Matthew Hayden will serve as the team’s coach for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Friday.The ex-cricketer inspired Pakistan to proceed to the quarterfinals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 with victories against India, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia in the league games.
Hayden will be a member of the team when Pakistan lands in Brisbane from Christchurch on October 15 after competing in a T20I series against Bangladesh and the host New Zealand.”Hayden brings with him a wealth of experience regarding the Australian conditions,” PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja said in a statement welcoming Mathew Hayden. “He is certain that his involvement will considerably enhance the team’s very talented players for the World Cup and future visits down under,” the PCB chairman added.
