SHARJAH: At the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will square off in the third game of the ongoing Twenty20 Asia Cup 2022.At 7 p.m. PST, this Group B match will begin.

As they prepare to play their opening match of the competition, Bangladesh will work to enhance their T20I performance. Due to their confidence being boosted by their victory against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener, Afghanistan is the overwhelming favourite.

The game was won by eight wickets thanks to the dominance of the Afghan pacers and hitters.After being forced into the game by Afghanistan, the Islanders put up a miserable performance. In the opening over, Sri Lanka lost two wickets: Kusal Mendis (2) and Charith Asalanka (0).

In the second over, they went 5 for 3. With 38 and 31 runs, respectively, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Chamika Karunaratne made an effort to save the team. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Naveen-ul-Haq severely battered Sri Lanka’s batting line, leaving them with a meagre 105-run target.

Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s explosive innings, which included a combined 13 boundaries, helped Afghanistan reach the goal in 10.1 overs. With four sixes, Gurbaz scored 40 off 18 balls.
